we just returned from a pretty awesome two weeks roadtripping a bit of the east coast.
our dear friend, aimee , traveled along with us… it was a lot of fun.
after driving through the smoky mountains of tenneesse, we spent a few days camping on the outer banks of north carolina. we pitched our tents in between sand dunes, spent a lot of time in the sun & sand, & woke up to ocean waves in the mornings. then, we drove up to assateague island, in maryland. most of the drive to the island from north carolina was covered with tiny old towns on the sides of the road, fruit stands & abandoned buildings being taken over by nature. the island is home to almost 300 wild horses that roam around freely. the horses are so peaceful & majestic, with long & wild flowing manes & tails. i was amazed at their serenity.
we also made a stop in st. michael’s, maryland, a quaint & historic fishing village in the chesapeake bay.
we visited some of our most amazing friends in new jersey, celebrated both of our birthdays, & photographed a gorgeous wedding in the new york botanical gardens. (photos of that prettiness coming soon!!!)
i fell in love with nyc once again. i just love all of the humanity. the smell of hot asphalt, pizzerias, & the subway. a place that makes you feel so big & so small. so many energies combined, so much to see & feel. it always leaves me just in awe of humanity.
here are just a few of the photos:
lots of love,
